Abilene, TX - IHRA fan favorite, Terry Mc Millen and his Amalie Oil /Torco Racing Fuels InstiGator Funny Car, will appear at the Abilene Star Dodge Dragstrip Spring Meltdown, March 4th. Friday's Spring Meltdown begins a power packed weekend followed by the Lone Star Bracket Nationals on Saturday and Sunday, March 5-6. This marks Mc Millen's second trip to the Lone Star state this year. In January, Mc Millen and his InstiGator team tested in San Antonio and appeared at the San Antonio Monster Jam, promoting the 4th Annual Amalie Oil Texas Nationals.

The 2004 drag racing season registered several milestones for the Abilene Star Dodge Dragstrip. The track was recognized at the IHRA Awards Banquet for "Most Growth in Summit Super Series Participation" and earned the coveted "IHRA Sportsman Track of the Year".
